Bridges
Heavy Highway
Rail & Transit Walls We have constructed numerous types of walls along highways, railroad tracks and rivers. A variety of construction materials including concrete, masonry, DoubleWal and railroad ties have been utilized. Walls can be built on site or precast and set on prepared surfaces at the site. Toll Plazas We have extensive experience in the construction of toll booths across our region. Work has been performed for the Port Authority of NY & NJ and numerous state agencies. Both permanent and temporary structures have been built at locations including the Outerbridge Crossing and Lincoln Tunnel, and at various sites along the Garden State Parkway. Our experienced personnel and specialized equipment enable us to perform such work efficiently and within the required safety specifications. Our capabilities include lead abatement, removal of contaminated materials and transportation to an approved site. Airports We have extensive experience working at major airports. After September 11, 2001, our ability to coordinate our workforce with the daily operations of the airlines and the Port Authority became an important factor in maintaining and upgrading security on the "air side" of the New York area airports. Transportation We have constructed building additions and toll booths in some of the most heavily trafficked areas in the world. Working in and around the major vehicular tunnels to and from New York City presents special problems in the areas of safety and coordination of work at the jobsite. Despite these adverse conditions, our personnel will complete the project in a timely manner while maintaining the safe, uninterrupted flow of commuter traffic. Municipalities Special planning and scheduling is required when working in cities and residential areas. Our projects are completed with a minimum of disruption to the daily life of the communities we work in. Return to Index of Services Return to Home Page Pile Driving We have expertise in all areas of pile driving from estimating and engineering to driving steel and wood piles. Our workforce is experienced in building cofferdams, caissons and docks as well. Steel Sheeting Steel Sheeting is a soil retention system used to support embankments, excavations, railroads and other structures. Sheeting can be designed with either external tiebacks or internal bracing. Our personnel will design and install the type which is most appropriate to each project. Cofferdams are used to maintain a dry workspace at an excavation site. A watertight box constructed of steel sheeting is driven and braced internally to withstand outside pressure. Foundations We are also a concrete contractor performing work in all aspects of heavy foundation construction. We engineer and design all types of concrete including pile caps, pre-cast, slabs, and walls. Structural Steel We fabricate structural steel columns, beams and plates for buildings and other structures. Using contract documents, drawings are produced and submitted for approval before the fabrication process. The finished product is then delivered to the site. Bridge Steel Fabrication of bridge steel is more complicated than structural steel. Return to Index of Services Return to Home Page Miscellaneous Steel This is the most challenging type of steel fabrication. Due to the unique nature of each piece, this steel cannot be produced on an assembly line. Custom Equipment We design all custom equipment based on careful review and assessment of customer requirements. Strict quality control guidelines are adhered to in the development and production of equipment. Accessory and option packages are also available. In addition, our crews perform service and maintenance for standard equipment and we stock a large inventory of replacement parts and materials for all your equipment needs. Tie Master The RCC Tie Master is a self propelled machine capable of extracting and inserting railroad ties. This unit has many versatile options available and has the capability of working with both wood and concrete ties. These units reduce the manpower required to perform tie replacement projects. Electronic Toll Collection Systems We have installed Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) systems on the New Jersey Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway, the Atlantic City Expressway and for the Delaware DOT. Power, Signal and Communications Traffic Signals Traffic signal installation requires electrical and civil work at intersections. Coordination of the workforce with local police, traffic control and municipalities is necessary to insure the safety of the public. Return to Index of Services Return to Home Page De-Icer Car This third rail de-icer unit is used for snow and ice removal around the power rail. A locomotive pushes the de-icer from behind while a controller operates the unit from inside the cab. Flatcar We build new and refurbish existing flatcars for multi-purpose use. We design and manufacture cars in our plant for delivery to the site. RCCF can also modify current cars for handling of equipment and materials, and for crew transportation. Heavy Equipment Hauling We are an experienced specialized equipment hauler, having transported heavy construction vehicles throughout the northeast. Our use of custom multi-configuration trailers enables us to provide service for all your hauling needs. Our commitment to the safe and timely delivery of your equipment is our number one priority. Painting and Restoration We are expert in the field of painting and restorative work. Upon arrival, equipment is thoroughly inspected to determine the type of work required. Restorations may include welding, mechanical corrections, glass work, sheet metal / fiberglass repair and general maintenance. Our state-of-the-art paint shop can accommodate vehicles up to ???? feet long. Import and Export Services We provides import / export services for all types of equipment to and from piers along the east coast. Structural Design The structural group is experienced in new building design, emergency repairs and renovation of existing structures. Our staff also perform inspections of structures and reports the existing conditions and any corrections required. Surveying We have professionally licensed LS surveyors who perform GPS surveys, construction layouts, and land and title surveys. Our survey crews work in conjunction with CADD operators to provide the highest quality planning services. Geotechnical and Environmental Services Our environmental specialists prepare impact studies, delineation of wetlands, permit applications and supporting documentation. Our crews are OSHA certified and have worked on residential, commercial, municipal and industrial projects.
